  Seethakkathi was one of the generous person who lived in the southern part of Tamil Nadu. His original name was SahyguAbdula. His father's name was Periya Thambi Maraikkayar. His mother's name was Mohammed Fathima. He was born at Thenkayal and brought up at Kilakarai. In his childhood itself, he was genuine and had a helping tendency. The legend of Seethakakkathi's father was portrayed in the marriage invitation of Seethakkathi.  
     
 
After the death of Seethakkathi's grandfather Vavali Maraikkayar( father of fathima ), a monument had been built at Kothupap Mosque. The "Singara Thopu", which is at the entrance of Kilakarai belongs to Seethakkathi. He had two brothers out of which his eldest brother's name was Mohammed Abdul Kadar Maraikkayar and his youngest brother name was Sultan Ibraham. Seethakkathi was represented as South Indian King Seyad Kadir Marikkayar in the Twentieth Century Impressions of Ceylon.
